It's nap time right now and this is my "me" time...according to the baby whisperer approach I have read and tried to accomplish over the past 4 months of my baby boys life! Im finding it hard to concentrate because there is a some weird accordian player on lex 18 lunch news..hang on..ok much better. Now I finally have my piece and quite over the buzz of the monitor and the rumble of the washing machine!
A little about myself...I am 24 years old, been married for almost 2 years now, have a bachelors degree in elementary education, just left my full time budding carreer as a teacher to stay at home with my precious baby boy! I love my life very much and feel very blessed to be able to stay with my son...however I do feel like there is a need for some type of outlet and support for SAHMs in my area. Sure there are great websites to interact and post on but Im talking real LIVE interaction with women who are going through what you are going through in your town. I love the internet don't get me wrong but Im desperatly NEEDING some adult interaction in the real world!!!
Throughout my years I have always had some sort of support of friends. In high school I had my close group of friends that I did everything with, college I joined a sorority where I gained my sisters, and when I was working as a teacher I had my co-workers to chat with and laugh, but now as I am entering this chapter of my life I have found myself missing that "group" of friends. Of course I have my mother and sister for whom which I would not be able to survive but I want more!!! So where is it...why is there not a "group" so easy to find that you know as soon as you become a SAHM you will belong there and have friends??? After doing some deep searching I have come across some small mommy groups but Im talking about a commom place that everyone knows about where SAHMs can go and talk with others???
This is my mission...to create a sisterhood of moms!!!
